Partnering up with Rafael J. Grossmann, MD, MHDS, FACS means only one thing: introducing the future of healthcare to the present moment. The idea to use Apple Vision Pro in making rounds might seem far-fetched at first, but the future is now. And it’s brilliant.
What we did

Our AR healthcare concept designed for doctor Grossmann was built on a hospital-wide system we created to enable medical doctors to see all patient data including video footage of operations, to track patients’ vital signs, to see patient lists in relation to their respective rooms, and to have guided rounds for each patient. And all that with voice recordings so that the doctors can listen to or read through their own notes.
One of the most interesting features incorporated in our concept is checking the patients’ vital signs with Apple Vision Pro. This is a tremendous improvement of daily healthcare operations, but it also requires updating the technology of the equipment used for vital signs checking. We’re positive that the medical equipment technology will follow suit.
This project was all about innovation and exploration. Features we envisioned and designed included such varied tasks as the option to watch video footage of an operation and guided hospital rounds. Overall, the mission of the tool was to cater to the doctors' needs and make their everyday work more efficient, informed, and streamlined.
When it comes to Apple Vision Pro’s features, the Passthrough technology which helps users interact with virtual content while seeing their actual surroundings enabled us to show situationally appropriate and beautifully designed patient related data. The users can interact with the designs using direct or indirect gestures. All in all, healthcare is definitely a great playground for Apple Vision Pro which can elevate the overall quality of patient care.
